• All Butterscotch Blankees knit items are Handcrafted, made to order, one at a time. Your order will be knit by one of our knitters that have many years of experience in handcrafted, personalized knits.  We use only high quality yarns, that are hand dyed for us, in our unique colors.

• All our knit items are HANDCRAFTED,meaning they are individually made, one at a time, all sizes and measurements listed are APPROXIMATE and Not Guaranteed to be exact measurements stated.  Size variances can occur due to different design, color combinations.   For these reasons, we can not guarantee that measurements given will be exact. *Cashmere sizes can have more variances in sizes due to being a fine wool.  All cashmere blankets are pre-shrunk.  For this reason different color combination can be up to 3" smaller after pre-shrinking.

• Please read each designs Product Description: In order to minimize errors:   Enter/Type name, initials, or monogram according to product description/ordering notes, and/or case selection, i.e. if description states all lowercase letters only, then please enter the name in all lowercase letters. Or if description states all uppercase, then enter the name or initials in all uppercase (see more below).

• If you inform us after your order has been placed that you have entered the name or initials incorrectly on your order and production has already started, there will be an Up Charge to stop production, for materials and design time.  Please review your order on the review order page,  prior to selecting "Submit Order"

• Because lettering is knit directly into the our items, some letters such as a C, Z, S, W, J etc., may have an uneven edge which is normal on knit items .  For this reason ***Designs, Lettering , Placement & Spacing are at the discretion of Butterscotch Blankees.  Lettering on samples should not be compared between different Designs****

• LOW CONTRAST COLORS: Please choose your colors carefully,  We do not contact you regarding your color choices or remake an item due to low contrast color choices. Note on the product description of each design, we do not use Pale Pink with Med. Pink as it is very low contrast, but if these 2 colors are selected on order it will be made this way. Also, we do not use Pale Pink with White or Off white.  If you enter Pale Pink with White or Off White, we will by default change it to Med. Pink.  Even though we will default with the Med. Pink it is still considered a low contrast color combination.  Other low contrast combinations are:  White with Off White, Pale Yellow with White or Off White, Fushia with Mulberry, and designs and names may not show as well as the sample on the selected design.  

• Sizing Guidelines: children's head sizes vary so please select size carefully. Because our hats are handcrafted, size variances can occur due to designs and yarn color choices. Small - Usually fits most 6m - 1 years, approximately 17 inch circumference. Medium - Usually fits most 2 - 4 years, approximately 20 inch circumference Large - 5+ and up (up to teen), approximately 22 inch circumference. **Head Circumference is not the measurement of the hat, but with stretch of the knit, should fit a head up to that size. **Regular hats have more stretch/give than earflap hats.

• Return/Remake Order Policy
  Due to the nature of our products, we do NOT accept returns, refunds or exchanges on personalized items, unless we have made a mistake. Remakes are for mis-spelling, reversed colors, or wrong design. If we have mis-spelled the name, please provide the Order Number, the name on the order, and the mis-spelled name(wrong name)you received , and a picture if the item you received..   Remakes due to color mistakes are remade in the same colors ordered, no colors changes. All inquiries regarding a problem with the order must be submitted by the Original Purchaser.  Remakes for orders which we have made an error on are generally reshipped within 4 business days. If an item is returned to us to look at, we reserve the right to repair, or remake.  Please check your order once received, as we will only honor remake for orders we have made a mistake on 30 Days after delivery.   We do not remake an item because of low contrast color choices, ( see above: Med. Pink with White or Off White , White with Off White, Pale Yellow with White or Off White are low contrast color combinations and designs and names may not show as well as the samples.  It is not the responsibility of Butterscotch Blankees to inform you that you have chosen low contrast color combinations),  We do not remake items for the lettering placement or spacing (see below). Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.  

• As with any fine quality knit item,  we can not guarantee our knit items against yarn snags/pulls, pilling due to not washing separately (see below under Care Instructions), or fuzzing due to items being stuck to them, such as Velcro from bibs, diaper tabs, car seat straps, etc.
